There's only one way to build our chess community - we have to BUILD it together!

Chess Communité is currently accepting donations.

To fund public chess in New Orleans, use any major credit card via our Paypal buttons.

To donate materials or to volunteer, please contact us.

Thanks, and we hope to see you soon for a game of chess!

Thank you so much for all of your support. Thanks to you we were able to raise $3,670.00, plus a promise of 2 tables donated from artists! Thats what I call a GREAT START.

We received donations and pledges from 44 different people and businesses, which shows broad and far-reaching community support.

Thank you for sharing our vision of progress and a more beautiful New Orleans.

In the coming weeks, we will begin putting our plan into action - we will collaborate with artists and the City to build upon the foundation of success that your contributions have helped lay. We are also pursuing several sources of donated materials. We are hopeful that at least some of the tables our artists build can be made with fully donated, found, reused, recycled, and/or upcycled materials.

Again, thank you so much for your support and be on the look out for more news from the Chess Communité!

Chess Communité is raising funds to support our table building efforts. We need money to buy materials, pay artists, and install the tables in parks and other public spaces (neutral grounds, sidewalks, maybe?).
